Orpheus in the Underworld by Jacques Offenbach
Swan Theatre, RSC, Stratford

Morpheus comes in with a helium-filled inflatable chair, and in his other hand, a bubble blower. The chairs inflate automatically. The Gods follow in a monotonous, melancholic manner, in order to show they are tired. They lie down. Smoke can be seen within the inflatables, but it settles. The Gods leave. Morpheus packs their suitcases with the inflatables.
